Site planning
Looking for a one-stop online resource for every room in your home? could be your solution. The interactive site sponsored by the National Home Furnishings Association includes decorating articles and photography, celebrity designer articles from the likes of Candice Olson, Christopher Lowell and Jane Seymour, as well as color expert Kate Smith’s “Ask Kate” column. There’s also a new interactive Color Visualizer tool to help DIYers determine which colors work well together or are well-suited to particular spaces.
Renovation shell game
High Noon Entertainment and HGTV are looking for Denver-area homeowners who are renovating a space and acting as their own general contractor, for a cash prize-driven reality TV show in which people attempt to convince contractors that they spent more money on their home renovation than they really did. Besides the chance to win $5,000, participants can glean great deals on products and materials. Interested? Send e-mail to Allison Dalvit-Ashby at generalcontractor@highnoontv.com.
