DULUTH, Minn.—Jack Connolly scored two power-play goals and Minnesota-Duluth dominated Colorado College for the second straight night, beating the Tigers 4-1 to move into second place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

The Bulldogs (14-7-1, 10-5-1 WCHA) trail WCHA-leading Denver by two points following Denver’s 3-2 win over Alaska-Anchorage on Saturday.

UMD held the Tigers (12-7-3, 8-5-3) to a season-low 19 shots for the second straight game.

The Bulldogs’ Kyle Schmidt, Jack Connolly and Mike Connolly scored the first three goals of the game. Rylan Schwartz scored for Colorado College late in the third period, but Jack Connolly added his second goal with less that two minutes to play.

UMD, which is 6-1-1 in its last eight games, got 18 saves from Kenny Reiter. The Tigers got 24 from Joe Howe.
