CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—Nebraska wrestler Craig Brester remains undefeated at 19-0, but the Cornhuskers have been eliminated from the National Duals tournament in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The senior 197-pounder recorded two wins Saturday to preserve his unbeaten record, but Nebraska struggled as a team and lost to Iowa and Buffalo.
Brester earned an 11-1 major decision over Iowa’s Luke Lofthouse to win his first match of the day.
Later, Brester beat Buffalo’s Jimmy Hamel 15-0.
The No. 2 rated Brester hopes to be able to finish this year as a national champion.
Next Sunday, Nebraska returns home to face Wyoming
