GREELEY — Chris Kaba scored 17 points and connected twice from 3-point range during a key second-half run to help make the difference in Northern Colorado’s 78-66 victory over Idaho State on Saturday night.

Will Figures added 16 points and Taylor Montgomery had 13 for Northern Colorado (15-3, 4-1 Big Sky), which won its 11th straight at home dating to last February. It’s the third- longest home winning streak in the school’s history.

With the victory, the Bears, who have won six in a row overall, exceeded their win total from last season, when they finished 14-18.

Wyoming 85, S.D. State 83

LARAMIE — Afam Muojeke scored 30 points to lead the Cowboys (8-8), who trailed by 14 points with 4:50 to play before their full-court pressure got to the Aztecs.

San Diego State (12-4) led 45-31 at halftime, but the Cowboys began to chip away with steals off the press.

Metro 92, W. New Mex. 76

A.J. Flournoy was a perfect 9-for-9 on field-goal attempts, including 4-for-4 on 3-pointers, and scored a career-best 24 points to help the host Roadrunners (11-2) roll.

GOLDEN — The Mustangs (8-5) made six straight free throws in the last 28 seconds to beat the Orediggers (5-8).

AIR FORCE ACADEMY — Chatilla Van Grinsven’s layup and free throw early in the second half started a 14-3 run for CSU that turned a one-point deficit into a 40-30 lead for the Rams.

San Diego St. 65, Wyo. 50

SAN DIEGO — Emma Langford had her best game of the season with 21 points, but a 14-0 run by the Aztecs (10-4) was too much for the Cowgirls (10-4) to overcome.

Colorado Mines 60, N.M. Highlands 58

GOLDEN — Angie Charchalis made four straight free throws in the final 12 seconds to preserve the win for the Orediggers (10-2).

Metro 63, W. New Mex. 48

The Roadrunners (7-6) went on a 16-3 run midway through the second half after the Mustangs (2-9) closed to within three points at the Auraria Event Center.
