HAUS IM ENNSTAL, Austria — The Olympics are almost a month away, and Lindsey Vonn is unstoppable in the downhill.

The Vail resident won her fourth consecutive World Cup downhill Saturday and second in two days, overcoming poor visibility because of increasing snowfall.

She sped down the shortened course in 1 minute, 9.12 seconds to beat Nadja Kamer of Switzerland by 0.14 seconds and extend her lead in the overall standings. Ingrid Jacquemod of France was another 0.02 back in third.

In addition to Vonn, the U.S. had a ninth-place finish from Stacey Cook, and Julia Mancuso was 11th.

• Thick fog forced the cancellation of a men’s World Cup giant slalom in Adelboden, Switzerland.

• Defending Olympic halfpipe champion Shaun White qualified for the 2010 Games with a victory in the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix in Mammoth Lakes, Calif.

Cathleen Martini of Germany won a women’s two-man World Cup bobsled race on her home track in Koenigssee, Germany, and Erin Pac (in fifth) led the three U.S. sleds to top-10 finishes. Thomas Florschuetz of Germany earned his first victory of the season in the men’s two-man.

• Two-time Olympic luge champion Armin Zoeggeler recorded his 48th World Cup luge victory, winning the singles race to complete an Italian sweep in Winterberg, Germany.

Glover leads by one in Hawaii

KAPALUA, Hawaii — Lucas Glover birdied three of the last five holes to salvage a round of 2-under-par 71 and take a one-shot lead over defending champion Geoff Ogilvy at the PGA Tour’s season-opening SBS Championship.

Ogilvy had a 5-under 68, his seventh consecutive round in the 60s at Kapalua. Colorado State graduate Martin Laird had a 4-under 69 and was in third place, two strokes back, while Ryan Moore shot 68 and was another shot back. The group tied for fifth included three major champions — Retief Goosen, Stewart Cink and Angel Cabrera.
