BOULDER — Kenny Bell, Fairview’s all-Colorado multi- purpose back, has committed to Nebraska.
The 6-foot-2, 173-pound Bell helped the Knights to the Class 5A semifinals in the 2009 football season despite suffering a broken collarbone in the season opener. He returned down the season stretch as the Knights, who finished 12-1, won a key game at Fort Collins to secure the Front Range League crown.
Recruited by Nebraska as an athlete, Bell will join Douglas County offensive tackle Mike Moudy as area players who will sign with the Cornhuskers next month.
Bell also visited Minnesota and Texas Tech.
