The two victims of a drive-by shooting late Monday night have been identified by the Denver Coroner’s Office.
Shot to death were Lonell Franklin, 21; and DeShon Lee, 19, both of Denver. Both died of gunshot wounds, according to the coroner.
A third victim, a female, has not been identified. Her wounds were not considered life-threatening.
Police said Franklin and Lee got into an argument with other men at a liquor store at Bruce Randolph and York Street around 11 p.m., Monday. The three victims left the store and drove east on Martin Luther King Boulevard, then stopped for a red light at Steele Street.
A silver or gray SUV pulled up next to them at the light and an occupant of the SUV fired multiple shots into the victims’ car before fleeing.
