A pedestrian was critically injured early Tuesday after being struck by a car in Northglenn, Northglenn police said.

Police said the accident occurred at Malley Drive and Highline Drive about 9 a.m.

They said the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and has been cooperative. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, investigators said.

The pedestrian was airlifted to St. Anthony Central.

The accident is under investigation by the Northglenn Police Department Technical Accident Investigation Team.
