DENVER—KMGH-TV has been awarded an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for its investigation into Denver International Airport’s response times to emergencies.

The awards were announced Thursday.

KMGH and reporter/executive producer Tony Kovaleski won for a series of stories based on ambulance response records at the city-owned airport.

The award also cites Producers/Executive Producers Tom Burke and Arthur Kane, photojournalist Jason Foster, General Manager Byron Grandy and News Director Jeff Harris.

Fourteen duPont-Columbia Awards were announced Thursday. Other winners included CBS News, NPR, American RadioWorks, HBO, MediaStorm, POV and six other local stations.
