DENVER—Gov. Bill Ritter told lawmakers not to get distracted as they struggle to fill a $1 billion hole in the state budget.
In his final State of the State speech, Ritter warned that it’s not enough to, as he put it, stay on the sidelines, to constantly criticize and to offer nothing but $10 solutions to a billion-dollar problem.
Ritter told legislators that if they’re not at the table providing solutions, then they’re part of the problem.”
