Getting your player ready...

In a year when discounts are luring buyers toward low-maintenance living with nicer spaces for entertaining, you can tour a project today a few steps from the Dry Creek Light Rail station, that has a few remaining units with outdoor living spaces to match anything your old house has…at prices as much as $100,000 off. And you can enjoy light brunch and smoothies today, for coming to look.

“It’s amazing that no other builders on the Light Rail corridor are doing this,” said Dry Creek Crossing’s sales manager Tara Viksne, showing me a 400-foot rooftop deck above a 2-bedroom that comes with a loft with wet bar, and a large kitchen in granite with stainless appliances. “The outdoor living makes for a nice transition if you’re coming out of a single-family home,” she added.

The creative interiors, along with an ideal commuter setting for anybody Light Railing into DTC or downtown, have already lured buyers for 88% of available homes at Dry Creek Crossing…numbers of them opting for these big top-floor units with 20-foot ceilings, lofts and decks. Those buyers are really using the outdoor spaces, sales associate Mimi Sturtevant says. “They’re entertaining all the time up there,” adding that some have added cook centers, fire pits, and evergreens. “Some have created their own little Tuscany up there.”

Those terraces will look a bit chilly today, but Viksne will show you a photo of a dinner party one owner served outdoors a little over a month ago. Buyers also enjoy amenities that go beyond what surrounding projects offer…pool, fitness center and hot tub.

“Our owners love Light Rail,” Sturtevant added, noting that after work, the trains make for an even quicker trip into Park Meadows, with all of its new dining offerings (one stop south) or up to Lime and other popular spots at Landmark (two stops north).

Meanwhile, you could grab a penthouse here (some 2-bedroom plus study, some 3-bedroom plus study) for as little as $270,000–or choose from remaining single-level condos down into the low $2s. Either way, Viksne notes, this project is essentially 100% complete–no need to worry about endless construction, or being surrounded by empty units.
