Nate’s honor:
Former Chaparral basketball star Nate Rohnert will have his Wolverines jersey retired Tuesday at the school in Parker. Rohnert, now a senior with the Denver Pioneers, is the Wolverines’ career leader in points, assists and steals, and he led them to the Class 5A Great 8 in 2006. A starter for DU since his sophomore season, the 6-foot-5 Rohnert was an All- Colorado pick by The Denver Post as a prep senior. He is averaging 16.3 points for DU this season and was the Pioneers’ MVP last season. His jersey will be retired at halftime of the Wolverines’ home game against Mountain Vista in the 5A Continental League.
