This is a year when you can find plenty of projects that have reduced price tags on them. But put a new price on some lofts that are already in a community that maintains home values better than any other area of the city of Denver, and you have something worth touring today.
At Hangar Lofts,Hangar Lofts at Lowry, there’s another reason to see these trendy looking models now, rather than waiting. At the new prices (all of the 1-bedroom homes are now under $200,000), this is a possibility that’s suddenly within range of a first-time homebuyer, wanting to cash in on the federal $8,000 tax credit that’s set to expire Nov. 30.
“People love the new prices, but what really surprises them are the level of finishes,” says Carrie Wernecke of Coldwell Banker Devonshire, who’ll show you three eye-catching models. Every home has been brought up to engineered hardwood floors, granite tops in the kitchen (even some quartz tops), and solid-surfaces in the baths.
“We are very, very motivated to move these now,” Wernecke notes, adding that when Hangar Lofts opened last year, some prices were well into the $500,000s. Now nothing has a price tag over $390,000.
That’s the price of a genuine loft-style 2-bedroom, 2-1/2 bath plan you’ll view, with 20-foot ceilings and a master that’s on a mezzanine level above the living area. The plan offers 1,714 feet with a contemporary feel that departs from Lowry’s generally traditional architecture. It’s fully upgraded, even a Bosch dishwasher, and comes with two spaces in Hangar Loft’s underground, elevator-served parking.
…And like all homes at Hangar Lofts, it’s only 2-block walk from 24-Hour Fitness and Lowry’s huge sports/park complex…and a few more from Town Center, with all of its choices of restaurants and coffee/breakfast spots. “I love the Tavern and the Soiled Dove,” says Wernecke. “There are very few communities where you can walk to hear live music that close to your doorstep…not even in Cherry Creek.”
Cherry Creek, by the way, is a five minute drive, and the commute into downtown is almost as appealing. Wernecke adds that the location will just get better with time…but that the financing offered as part of the price reduction is a rare opportunity. “We can match whatever terms you can find out there,” she adds. “If you want the first-time buyer tax credit, we have some homes that you could close tomorrow.”
She’ll greet you today at Hangar Lofts’ model…a block south of the giant B-52 outside the Wings Over the Rockies air museum.
