Oakwood Homes has a new collection of big models (2,300 to 3,700 feet!) at Green Valley Ranch Golf Course that are so inexpensive right now, that some buyers who are purchasing don’t fit the golf profile at all. Some are empty nesters who could care less about golf (they want the open space)…and some are younger, reaching for more space and a nicer neighborhood than they imagined they could possibly afford.
Prices at Parkwood are so low and the financing so appealing, that three of the last ten purchasers haven’t sold their older houses at all…but have opted to hold onto their older places as rentals.

Oakwood Sales Manager Mike Tinlin points out that Green Valley Ranch was picked by [ITALIC]Avid Golfer Magazine as Colorado’s most ‘family-friendly’ course, site of the annual Colorado Open. Shearon, who’s lived here three years, likes the placement of the ladies’ tees to avoid shooting over water features…and a Par-3 course used for the kids-oriented First Tee program, where she practices her short game.
“But you don’t have to play golf,” Shearon adds, noting that half of buyers come for the course’s protected open space. She’ll show you startlingly low payments to be on the course. Take Green Valley Ranch Boulevard (48th) east past Tower to Argonne, then left.
