An early morning fire at a single family residence at 4827 E. Davies Place in Centennial was quickly brought under control early this morning with relatively minor damage.
Wayne Zygowicz, bureau chief for Littleton Fire Rescue, said that six units responded to the fire, which was centered near the home’s chimney.
He said the fire was brought under control within 30 minutes and the damage was confined to the attic and exterior of the home around the chimney.
Zygowicz said 12 firefighters responded to the fire.
The bureau chief said members of the department’s fire prevention bureau are on scene trying to determine the cause of the fire.
He said an estimate of the dollar loss to the home will be made later.
Littleton Fire Rescue provides fire service to part of Centennial.
