A large water main break along Colfax Avenue in Lakewood is blocking a number of lanes on the street, said Steve Davis, spokesman for the Lakewood Police Department.
Davis said the break is on Colfax Avenue at Allison Street and that crews are responding. He said there is no estimate as to when the lanes will reopen.
However, he said traffic is lighter than normal because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
The break was reported shortly after 7 a.m., said Davis.
