Six businesses and individuals were recognized at the 25th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Business and Social Responsibility Awards luncheon, held Friday in downtown Denver.
This year’s honorees were Concert for Kids, the Denver Hospice, the Epworth Foundation, Pastor Heidi McGinness, Mount St. Vincent Home and Western Union.
In addition, the Trailblazer Award was presented to Marie Greenwood, the first African-American teacher under contract at Denver Public Schools.
