A gallery benefit and shopping event for New Genesis, a charity for the homeless, will be hosted from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Jan. 30 by Golden’s Little Star Gallery. The gallery, run by Shelly Metz, features the creations of artist Douglas Rich, who works in glass, as well as making jewelry, furniture, bronze sculptures and industrial design pieces. Admission is free, and a percentage of sales will be donated to New Genesis. Left, the “Autumn Sun” necklace, $385, is made from resin flats, pearls and silver.
