FORT COLLINS — Bonnie Barbee’s 3-pointer with 1:19 left — her only basket of the game — broke a 60-60 tie, and Colorado State did not allow New Mexico another point in a 67-60 win Saturday at Moby Arena. The victory snapped a 13-game win streak New Mexico (11-7) had against CSU.

The Rams previously beat UNLV, and Saturday’s win gave CSU (11-7) consecutive Mountain West Conference victories for the first time since a four-game streak in 2005. And it gave Barbee and the Rams confidence. “The higher-ranked teams better watch out,” Barbee said. “We’re coming hard. We might not be the tallest or most athletic, but we have the biggest heart.”

The MWC’s leading scorer, sophomore Kim Mestdagh, led the Rams with 20 points.

Utah 67, Air Force 47

AIR FORCE ACADEMY — Taryn Wicijowski scored a career- high 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Utes (11-7) to a convincing win over the Falcons (3-15).

Utah outrebounded Air Force 44-26 and had a 30-6 points-in-the-paint advantage.

Colorado Mines 74, Nebraska-Kearney 71

GOLDEN — The Orediggers made only 4-of-8 free throws in the last 1:34, but it was enough to hold off the Lopers (3-12) after Mines had built a 12-point second-half lead. Emily Dalton led Mines (11-5) with 22 points, and Angie Charchalis added 21.

Metro State 90, CU-Colorado Springs 68

COLORADO SPRINGS — Kristen Valencia led six Roadrunners (10-7) in double figures with 18 points.
