Duke Energy, a U.S. utility owner with more than 730 megawatts of wind- power capacity, agreed to buy its first solar project, a plant under development in San Antonio.
The purchase from closely held Juwi Solar of Boulder includes a 30-year contract to sell power and related renewable-energy credits to San Antonio’s municipal utility, Charlotte, N.C.-based Duke said in a statement Monday.
