DENVER—Federal prosecutors say a former substitute teacher accused of trading child pornography has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison.
Fifty-three-year-old Kyle Gregory Speed of Colorado Springs will also have to register as a sex offender. Prosecutors announced the sentence Tuesday; it was delivered last week.
Speed was arrested last year Spring Creek Youth Services Center, where he was working as a substitute teacher. He pleaded guilty in October.
Speed was linked to a New Zealand child pornographer, with whom he was trading photos online.
