Highlights from the Legislature on Thursday:
— The House approved and sent to the Senate a measure (House Bill 1069) that would raise salaries for Mineral County commissioners.
— The House approved and Gov. Bill Ritter signed a measure (Senate Bill 65) that takes back $110 million this year that lawmakers set aside for public schools.
New Bills
— Allows veterans to request a military service identifier on a driver’s license or identification card (House Bill 1209).
— Require the Colorado reapportionment commission to designate which senatorial districts will stand for election in 2012 and which in 2014.
— Require agreements between colleges and universities to allow students with associate of arts and associate of science degrees to transfer to another institution within the state (House Bill 1208).
