A man who jumped from a car on Interstate 225 Tuesday night was involved in an argument with his girlfriend, Aurora police said this morning.
The 21-year-old man sustained minor injuries when he jumped from the car, which was traveling about 35 mph, said Detective Shannon Lucy, spokeswoman for the Aurora Police Department.
Lucy said the 21-year-old girlfriend immediately stopped the car and ran back to the boyfriend.
Lucy said the man was possibly intoxicated at the time.
The police have classified the incident as a “domestic situation” and no charges will be filed against either the girlfriend or her boyfriend, said Lucy.
The incident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-225 near East Mississippi Avenue at 8:55 p.m.
