ST. LOUIS — The ex-girlfriend of Rams running back Steven Jackson said she decided to tell police of physical abuse at Jackson’s hands out of concern for their 10-month-old son’s future and fear that Jackson might hurt someone else if he doesn’t seek help.
“I’m not trying to ruin his life,” Supriya M. Harris told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Thursday night. “I just want him to get help, and I want him to stop. . . . I don’t want there to be another person to go through what I went through.”
Harris, 29, has accused the running back of pushing her repeatedly and throwing her against a door, when she was nine months pregnant with the couple’s son, Kingston. The incident allegedly occurred March 8 at Jackson’s Las Vegas home.
“It’s disheartening that I have to address any alleged allegations 10 months later, but I have read the accusations made by Supriya Harris, and they are untrue,” Jackson said.
