COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado College’s Andrew Hamburg had two goals and the Tigers scored the final three goals of the game to beat St. Cloud State 6-4, denying the Huskies a chance to remain tied for the lead in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Ryan Lowery and Mike Testwuide had a goal and an assist apiece for Colorado College (15-10-3, 11-8-3 WCHA), which trailed 4-3 early in the third period before snapping the Huskies’ nine-game winning streak. Lowery’s power-play goal at 15:02 gave the Tigers a lead and Testwuide had an empty-netter with 11 seconds remaining.
Garrett Roe had two goals and an assist and Tony Mosey added a goal and assist for the Huskies (17-8-3, 12-6-2), who dropped to third place in the WCHA behind Denver and Minnesota-Duluth.
Michael Shibrowski and Joe Howe combined for 28 saves for the Tigers, while Mike Lee had 31 saves for St. Cloud State.
