King’s cash for clunkers
Republican Rep. Steve King is facing an ethics probe after a month-plus of car trouble forced him to rent a car last spring to make it back and forth from the Capitol to his Grand Junction home.
There are questions over how he was reimbursed for the hundreds of dollars in travel costs, and records show he spent hundreds more to fix his 2005 Chevy.
“My poor Equinox is taking a beating in the press,” King said ruefully. “I’m surprised Chevy hasn’t called me.”
Uff dah! See you in Fort Pierre
Two “Wanted for tax evasion” posters created by the Senate GOP press office feature Cupid and the Easter bunny, a dig at Democrats who want to end the tax exemption on candy sales.
“These are super-duper clever,” said Sen. Greg Brophy, R-Wray, above.
Super-duper? Boy, you can take the boy out of South Dakota, but you can’t take the South Dakotan out of the boy.
