A convicted felon from Castle Rock was arrested Monday night after buying two pistols from an undercover agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives outside a Castle Rock bar.
Steven Allen Ford, 24 was arrested outside the Busty Bullfrog Lounge at 971 Park St., according to a joint statement from the ATF and Castle Rock police.
Aurora and Lakewood police also participated in the investigation after learning Ford, who goes by the alias Cherrio, authorities said, was trying to buy guns illegally, according to a statement from the ATF.
Ford has a lengthy arrest record, including charges of assault, menacing, robbery, burglary and other charges in the south metro region and Larimer County, according to public records.
