SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo.—A North Carolina man has died after going into cardiac arrest on a ski lift in Colorado.
The Summit County coroner says 46-year-old Christopher Harrison of Durham, N.C., was riding a chairlift alone Monday at Copper Mountain Resort when his head fell forward in the chair. The lift operator stopped the lift, and ski patrol cared for Harrison until an ambulance arrived.
He was declared dead about an hour later after being transported to St. Anthony’s Copper Mountain Medical Clinic.
