LINCOLN—Nebraska lawmakers deciding whether there should be a ban on texting while driving may only get one side of the issue. No one testified in opposition to a texting-ban bill (LB945) during a legislative hearing on Tuesday. And there have been no letters of opposition written to the committee that is handling the bill. FALLS CITY—A Nebraska woman whose pregnancy at 13 led to prison for her then-22-year-old husband says she’s happy with her choices. Five years after the pregnancy and ensuing criminal case, Crystal Koso, now 19, is still married to Matthew Koso. They live in Falls City and are awaiting the birth of a fourth child. One was fathered by another man while Matthew Koso was locked up after being convicted of having sex with a child.

LINCOLN—Lincoln voters will be asked in May whether they’re willing to pay for a new arena to replace Pershing Center. The City Council voted 6-0 Monday to put a funding proposal for $25 million on the May 11 primary election ballot.

WASHINGTON—Senate Democrats are unable to muscle through President Barack Obama’s choice of a union attorney for the National Labor Relations Board, because one of their own has joined the Republicans to block the nomination. The task for Democratic leaders, already made dicey by bad weather, turned more difficult when Sen.
