ASPEN — The decades-old rivalry between Aspen and Vail has advanced to the virtual battlefield, with a gnome as referee.
Travelocity is asking followers of its Facebook page to cast a vote on which ski resort is better. The contest started at 7 a.m. Wednesday and continues for a week. The travel booking website’s Roaming Gnome, famous for his misadventures on television commercials, will visit the winning resort for various shenanigans after the contest is over.
Voters had a chance to write comments on the Travelocity Facebook page, and some were zingers.
