Getting your player ready...
Maurice Jones-Drew was doing more than serving as grand marshal Thursday for one of the twin Daytona 500 qualifying races. He was looking into becoming a team owner. The Jacksonville Jaguars running back, needing help to remember some drivers’ names, said he is early in the process of learning what it takes to be an owner. Asked if he had a favorite driver, Jones-Drew said: “I think I found one. What’s his name? What’s the driver’s name, 42?” That would be Juan Pablo Montoya. “There you go. Montoya. That’s my favorite driver,” he said, laughing. “We’re ready to roll.”
