BOULDER, Colo.—Seattle Seahawks receivers coach Robert Prince is joining the coaching staff at Colorado, where he reunites with Buffaloes coach Dan Hawkins.

Buffaloes coach Dan Hawkins said Friday that Prince would be the passing game coordinator and receivers coach. Prince also coached receivers at Boise State when Hawkins coached there in the 2001-2003 seasons.

Hawkins had been grooming defensive technical intern Ashley Ambrose to be Colorado’s receivers coach next season, but he said Friday that the former defensive back will coach the secondary. Ambrose replaces Greg Brown, who left to be co-defensive coordinator for the Arizona Wildcats.

Ambrose spent 13 years playing in the NFL for Indianapolis, Cincinnati, New Orleans and Atlanta.
