Philadelphia University men’s basketball coach Herb Magee, left, won his 900th career game when the Rams beat Bloomfield College 81-77 on Saturday. Now the Division II coach is just three victories away from passing Bobby Knight for first place on the NCAA career wins list. Bulldogs extend streak.
Butler extended the nation’s longest winning streak to 15 games with a 70-59 win over host Cleveland State. The Bulldogs (23-4, 16-0) tied the school record for consecutive wins set in 1999-2000 and matched the best start in Horizon League conference play set by Wisconsin-Green Bay in 1995-96.

Memphis ends Tulsa’s streak
Elliot Williams scored 27 points as Memphis, the last team to beat Tulsa at home, snapped the Golden Hurricane’s 23-game home winning streak with a 93-86 victory Saturday night. Doneal Mack and Angel Garcia each scored 16 for the Tigers (18-7, 8-2 Conference USA), who defeated Tulsa for the 11th consecutive time.
Panthers denied.
Northern Iowa led Bradley 32-23 at halftime and was on the way to its first outright Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship. But Andrew Warren scored all 15 of his points in the second half, and the Braves rallied to beat the Panthers 68-59.
