Officials, coaches, former players and fans were on hand for the opening of the new Eddie Robinson Museum at Grambling (La.) State. The 18,000-square-foot museum honoring the coach, who died in 2007, had its formal opening Saturday. The museum houses the many awards and honors heaped on Robinson and his teams during the 55 years he coached at the tiny northeast Louisiana school. It features exhibits on more than 200 players Robinson coached who went on to pro careers, including ex-Redskins QB Doug Williams, who was Super Bowl MVP in 1988. Robinson had 408 career victories.
