AURORA, Colo.—A man suspected of robbing a toy store, a bank, a women’s clothing store and other businesses in Aurora has been arrested.

Police believe 46-year-old Richard Charles MacNeill of Aurora is the so-called “Band Aid Bandit.” MacNeill is suspected in a string of eight robberies dating from October to Feb. 5.

During one of these robberies, the suspect could be seen with what appeared to be an adhesive bandage on his nose.

The break in the case came Wednesday when a police sergeant spotted a vehicle matching the description of a getaway vehicle. Aurora police spokesman Robert Friel said MacNeill was arrested Thursday.
