PHOENIX — A helicopter crash just north of Phoenix killed at least three people on Sunday afternoon, including a child, and officials couldn’t rule out the possibility of more victims because the chopper could hold six.
Residents in the area heard noises and saw parts flying off the helicopter before it crashed and burst into flames about 3 p.m. MST. Authorities said they have specifically identified three victims but are looking into whether there were additional victims. No injuries on the ground were immediately reported.
The helicopter was registered to a Scottsdale, Ariz.- based food service and real estate firm. A company spokesman said he didn’t have any information about the crash.
