Air Force coach Troy Calhoun filled one of two staff vacancies this week naming Murray State safeties coach Brad White as a defensive assistant for the Falcons.
White first met Calhoun at Wake Forest where White was a three-year starting linebacker from 2002-2004. He originally enrolled at Georgia. Calhoun served as offensive coordinator during part White’s Wake Forest playing career.
The newest Falcons assistant coached safeties in his only season at Murray State. Previously, he was a grad assistant at Wake Forest.
He takes a staff position vacated when former defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter left for Texas A&M.
AFA goes into spring ball Thursday down one offensive assistant. Calhoun said Pat Covington’s position will be filled later by a military re-assignment.
