Investigators searching for suspects who hit a 16-year-old boy with a car and then beat him to death with a baseball bat have recovered part of the front bumper of the car that struck the teenager.

Officer Matt Barnes, spokesman for the Thornton Police Department, said investigators have yet to identify the make of the car.

However, he said the vehicle is described as a small 4-door sedan with one or both of the rear side windows broken out.

He said there is also believed to be damage to the front windshield and there is a small spoiler on the back trunk.

The bumper was recovered in the 2000 block of Dichter Court where 16-year-old Nathan Bozonier was hit and then attacked with a baseball bat.

Investigators said the teenager suffered multiple injuries to his upper body and head around 1:26 a.m. Monday.

Barnes said initial indications are that a house party in the 1900 block of Dichter Court spilled down the street to the 2000 block of Dichter, where Bozonier was hit by the car.

At that point, several occupants jumped out of the car assaulted Bozonier.

Barnes said that as many as 10 people participated in the fights.

Anyone with any information concerning the suspects or the altercation are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867)
