The Phillies traded for Roy Halladay, a 32-year-old Arvada West alum, with an eye on October. But Halladay already showed his value by setting the standard for his teammates . . . in December, when he showed up in Clearwater, Fla., to begin his workouts for this season. Teammates report that Halladay shows up at the park before the sun rises. “He’s the hardest-working guy I’ve seen, by far,” fellow Phillies pitcher Kyle Kendrick said.
