Two people and their dog escaped a fire that destroyed their Northglenn home this morning.
The call about an “outdoor electrical fire” came in about 10:00 a.m., according to a news release from North Metro Fire Rescue.
Crews from North Metro, Thornton, and Westminster found the home fully engulfed when they arrived. Apparently the fire started outside then spread to a porch, the home’s roof and the garage.
The resident tried twice to put out the fire before calling for help, North Metro said.
The home is uninhabitable, and the Red Cross will help the displaced residents.
