Colorado’s beloved played the unusually small (for their stature, anyway) on Saturday for a rabid, capacity crowd. The sold-out show felt slightly territorial and aggressive because it was just that crowded, but everyone seemed to enjoy old favorites such as “Broken Hearted Savior,” “Resignation Superman” and “It’s Alright.”

The spare, tasteful set design and lively lighting backed a good two-hour show (with encore, naturally) that included a guest appearance from . Bass player Rob Squires told me the band is focusing on finishing its latest album by June and sticking with the smaller shows between now and then. — Brittany Moore
