Getting your player ready...
No player in the Olympic women’s hockey tournament has scored more points, or generated more gasps of awe, than Meghan Agosta. No player has received more marriage proposals, either. Agosta laughed when asked about the guy wearing a black pinstriped suit and bow tie in the stands Monday night for Canada’s 5-0 win over Finland, securing a gold-medal meeting with the U.S. team. Tim Ryan, the lovestruck 27-year-old from Thompson, Manitoba, wore a large sign around his neck politely asking for Agosta’s hand in marriage. “She said YES!” was written on the other side of the sign — you know, just in case. “I saw him. It was crazy,” Agosta said. “I didn’t really know what to make of that.”
