King Cole:

Cole Chapleski, a senior at Broomfield, has been named Colorado’s Gatorade soccer player of the year. The Denver Post all-Colorado and Class 4A player of the year from last fall led the Eagles (18-1) to the 4A semifinals and finished 2009 with 21 goals and 17 assists (65 and 50 for his career). Chapleski has a 3.7 grade-point average and will play next season for Denver’s Pioneers. He’s eligible for the Gatorade national player of the year honor, which will be announced in May. Said Liberty coach Mike Goyden, “He’s a great player, has a great attitude and is just a dominant force because of his size.”
