ORLANDO, Fla.—The Powerball jackpot was expected to grow to an estimated $95 million for Saturday since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.

The winning numbers Wednesday were 4, 17, 35, 50 and 57. The Powerball was 12 and the Power Play was 2.

Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $78.1 million jackpot.

MUSL officials said 27 tickets sold across the country matched the Powerball, plus four of the other numbers, to win $10,000 each. Six other tickets, including one from Colorado, had similar matches but doubled their winnings to $20,000 with the Power Play option.

Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.

The game is now played in 41 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
