As another storm takes aim at the mountains, the metro region has a 60 percent chance of snow tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Less than an inch of accumulation is expected in the city, and the Eastern Plains could see even less.

Temperatures could dip 20 degrees in the city tonight, forecasters said.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of the Western Slope until 6 a.m. Friday.

Widespread snowfall could drop 6 to 12 inches in the northern mountains and 4 to 8 inches cq on the Grand Mesa and the northwest San Juan Mountains beginning after midnight, according to Weather Service.

Snow is expected to continue in the High County through the weekend.

On Friday, highs in the metro region could reach 45 degrees and 50 degrees on Saturday, before a 30 chance of snow Sunday.

Temperatures in the city could be climb to near 50 degrees by midweek, forecasters said.
