CSU-bound Brown without equal:
Call Trevor Brown a blur. The Colorado Springs Wasson senior, who has signed to compete in track for Colorado State, posted the nation’s fastest schoolboy time in the 60-meter hurdles. The senior needed only 7.81 seconds to negotiate the event at Denver’s MLK Mile High Classic on Jan. 30. It topped the previous best of the season of 7.89 set by Sam Gagliano of Waxahachie, Texas. Brown, who also finished third in the 300 hurdles at the meet, was state runner-up in the Class 4A 110 hurdles last spring. Eighth in the AAU national championships and ninth in the 400, Brown also played football for the Thunderbirds.
