A 36-year-old Lakewood man was killed Tuesday night when he was hit by a light-rail train between Union Station and the Pepsi Center.
Denver police said Wednesday that they do not suspect foul play but have not yet determined why Paul Michael Mettam was on the tracks north of Delgany Street about 11 p.m. Authorities said Mettam was killed immediately by the impact.
Regional Transportation District spokesman Scott Reed said Mettam was in a fenced-off area that is difficult for a pedestrian to reach.
