They are poohbahs who party. Jeff Hermanson and Dee Chirafisi, two local business bigwigs, are celebrating big birthdays.

Hermanson, president and CEO of Larimer Associates, hosted roughly 50 of his closest friends in Crested Butte over the weekend to help him ring in his 60th birthday.

Weekend festivities included a sleigh ride to Uley’s cabin for dinner, followed by skiing back down with headlamps.

“He was calling it his 60th-birthday party because he finally got around to having it,” said business partner Joe Vostrejs, who noted that Hermanson’s 61st birthday was Thursday. “Jeff sometimes runs a bit behind schedule.”

Seventeen of Chirafisi’s gal-pal brokers from her Kentwood City Properties office return today from a three-day Las Vegas jaunt.

“We’re having dinner at N9NE Steakhouse, where all the movie stars go,” said ringleader and colleague Jan Nelsen. “We’re calling it Dee’s Fif-Dee’s birthday.” The top-notch broker’s official birthday is March 28, when she’ll celebrate again in Mexico.

Local vocals Hazel Miller and Frank Sinatra impersonator Derek Evilsizor are taking turns crooning in the piano bar.
