Getting your player ready...

LINCOLN, Neb.—TD Ameritrade Chairman Joe Moglia (MOHG-lee-uh) plans to spend another year volunteering with the University of Nebraska in the hopes of reviving his coaching career.

Moglia coached football for 16 years and served as Dartmouth College’s defensive coordinator before joining the business world. He worked his way up to the top of Ameritrade before retiring from the CEO job in 2008.

He hopes to land a head-coaching job and use his corporate skills to lead a team.

Moglia says he was a finalist for the U.S. Olympic Committee’s top job and for the football coaching opening at Princeton but didn’t land either job.

Moglia offers career counseling and leadership advice to Nebraska’s players in return for the opportunity to learn from the coaches.
