
Celebrating animals
Tuesday. Learn about Colorado wildlife and ecology at the “Nature Kids: Critters, Crafts, Songs and Fun for Kids Who Love the Great Outdoors,” an event at the Colorado Chautauqua. Presented by the Thorne Ecological Institute, the program features hands-on exploration stations where kids can get down and dirty. Touch real animal skulls, create nature art, do the “Animal Cake Walk” and more. Afterwards, jam out to an interactive, nature- themed concert. Rhythm nation
Thursday-Saturday.Groove to the rhythm of a West African drum when former members of the Ghana National Dance Ensemble and Abibigroma perform during the seventh annual BaoBao Festival. Multicultural, family-friendly activities will include storytelling, a hip-hop dance troupe and traditional West African folk music. Events will be held in Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs.
